PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device having a heat sink which is low in cost and high in cooling performance, which is capable of suppressing heat to be emitted from a light source from being transferred to the other part.SOLUTION: A flat plate part as the base part of a heat sink having a flat plate-shaped base part is formed with a hole part penetrating through the flat plate part, and semiconductor laser is fitted and held in the hole such that a laser beam is emitted from one main surface of the heat sink to a screen side, and an electric connection part for performing electric connection to the semiconductor laser is arranged on the rear surface side of the heat sink. The rear surface of the flat plate part of the heat sink is occupied by the arrangement region of the electric connection part and the formation region of a fin part integrally formed with the base part. |
