BRANCHING DEVICE OF CLASSIFICATION CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a slide shoe even when an incomplete branching operation and/or an increase of the sliding resistance of a slide shoe occurs in a branching part of a slide shoe type classification conveyor.SOLUTION: A slide shoe type classification conveyor includes a slat conveyor which is composed of slats extended in the article carrying direction and in the perpendicular direction and connected in the article carrying direction, is loaded with articles and carries them and a slide shoe which is freely slidable in the carrying direction and in the perpendicular direction on the slat surface of the slat conveyor. A branching guide block is provided in a part where the slide shoe is branched into the direct advance direction and a branched direction, and the tip of the branching guide block is nearly conical and has an apex protruding on the side opposite to the progressing direction of the slide shoe.
