PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device which can prevent the deformation of a flinger caused by a centrifugal force while enabling high-speed rotation at which a dmn value of a bearing to be used is not smaller than 1,000,000, and maintaining a favorable waterproof function, and the flinger for the spindle device.SOLUTION: A spindle device 40 has: a cylindrical boss part 42 which is externally fit to a rotating shaft 11; a disc part 43 which extends from an axial front end of the boss part 42 toward the radial outside with an inclination, and is arranged oppositely to an axial front face of a housing H via a clearance; and an annular part 44 which extends from a radial outside end of the disc part 43 toward the axial the other end, and is arranged oppositely to an external peripheral face of the housing H via a clearance. The spindle device also has a flinger main body 41 formed of a metal material, and a ring member 70 which is externally fit to an external peripheral face of the annular part 44, and formed of an aramid fiber composite material. |
