The present invention relates to a method for producing poly(alkylene carbonate) by means of the alternating copolymerization of carbon dioxide and epoxide. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for producing a block or graft copolymer of a polymer compound and poly(alkylene carbonate) and to a block or graft copolymer produced by means of the method, wherein the block or graft copolymer is produced by performing alternating copolymerization on an epoxide compound and carbon dioxide by using a metal trivalent compound produced from a salen-type ligand including quartic ammonium salt under the presence of the polymer comound having functional groups of hydroxyl or carboxylic acid.
