DISK BRAKE SHIM AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THEREOF

The present invention relates to a disk brake shim for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the disk brake shim. The disk brake shim according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a steel sheet; coating paint which surround the steel sheet; and an adhesive which is attached to one surface of the steel sheet surrounded by the coating paint. The coating paint contains 20 to 56 wt% of nitrile rubber (NBR) polymer; 10 to 20 wt% of carbon black; 2 to 5 wt% of methyl ethyl ketone; 20 to 30 wt% of toluene; 2 to 5 wt% of xylene; and 10 to 20 wt% of cyclohexanone. The method for manufacturing the disk brake shim according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a step for cutting the steel sheet to a size allowing the attachment to a brake pad; a step for cleaning the steel sheet with an organic solvent; a step for drying and pre-processing the cleaned steel sheet; a step for spraying the coating paint to the dried steel sheet; and a step for drying the steel sheet to which the coating paint is sprayed.
