The system has a supporting unit (7) coupled to a backrest (8) and a longitudinally variable damping device (11), where an upper area of the backrest is connected to a vertically movable end (15) of the damping device. The damping device is connected to a side wall (1) of a passenger cabin (2) through a carrying equipment (6). Vertical guide (18) and transversal guide (19) are arranged in the carrying equipment. The carrying equipment is connected to a roof structure (4) of the cabin such that vertical acceleration acting on a floor area (10) of the cabin is transmitted to the roof structure.
