The present invention relates to a bent-core reactive mesogenic compound and a low-birefringence liquid crystalline orientation film by the photocuring of a mixture thereof. The bent-core reactive mesogenic compound and the low-birefringence liquid crystalline orientation film by the photocuring of a mixture thereof are mechanically and thermally stable and can be used as in-cell optical parts during the manufacture of an LCD. The present invention can be used for manufacturing a thin and light display to obtain a sturdier and more flexible display. In addition, the price of displays is lowered, a phase delay film can be patterned for each pixel and display quality is improved as the present invention can be applied to any kind of substrate including not only glass but also plastic and a continuous process by coating is enabled.
