The tool (10) has a lower frame (14) forming a support, and a slide (22) that carries a cam (28) and another cam (34) that are allowed to slide on the lower frame. A counter-cam (52) is designed to be involved in a sliding motion on a stamping mold (18) during displacement of the slide in a direction (F) that is shifted angularly with regard to another direction (G) between a stamping position in which the mold is ready to form a sheet (12), and a retracted position in which the mold allows shrinking of the sheet.
