The present invention provides an electronic control unit for a vehicle including: a detection unit for detecting yaw moment of the vehicle and detecting acceleration of the vehicle; and an integrated control unit which judges the posture of the vehicle based on the yaw moment and acceleration of the vehicle to carry out a posture stabilization control of the vehicle, and judges whether or not the vehicle collides against something based on the yaw moment and acceleration to control the operation of an air bag part. The electronic control unit according to the present invention does common use of hardware in which the posture stabilization control unit and the air bag operation control unit are integrated, thereby removing overlap of hardware, reducing manufacturing costs of the electronic control unit, and reducing wages and time consumption for manufacturing. Moreover, a yaw rate detection unit and an acceleration detection unit are integrated to the electronic control unit which controls posture stabilization of the vehicle and operation of air bag, such that the electronic control unit can reduce expenses necessary for manufacturing a printed circuit board and a housing, simplify wire connection between the electronic control unit and the detection units, reduce manufacturing costs due to simplification of wiring, and maximize utilization of the inside space of the vehicle. |
