Disclosed are a method to prepare coumestrol and a method to prepare coumestrin, wherein chitosan is treated for a predetermined amount of time during a bean growth period. Additionally, disclosed is the method to prepare coumestrol by performing such as an enzyme treatment or an acid treatment on the coumestrin prepared by the preparation method.
