The optical unit (1) has a lens (4) for allowing passage of polychromatic light flux from one side (5) to another side (6) of the lens. A homogenizing unit (7) is arranged for mixing the flow of color spectrum light flux. The homogenizing unit includes a planar surface (8) with microcavities, where the microcavities are micro-spheres and/or micro-prisms. The micro-spheres are arranged in a plane parallel to a plane surface of the latter side of the lens, where the micro-spheres are coupled with each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electric lighting apparatus (2) an assembly of an electric lighting apparatus and a recessed housing.
