The present invention relates to an afterimage processing apparatus of an image device, and more specifically, to an afterimage processing apparatus of an image device, which determines whether or not an image reproduced on an organic light emitting diode (OLED) is a still image and periodically outputs afterimage prevention data in which a vertical/ horizontal start point is changed with respect to one frame when the image is a reproduction image, thereby preventing an afterimage of an image signal. For this purpose, according to the present invention, the afterimage processing apparatus of the image device capable of preventing an afterimage of an OLED comprises an input unit, a setting unit, and a scaling unit. The setting unit includes: an image reader which determines whether the image provided through the input unit is a still image or a reproduction image, an external input device which allows a user to select an afterimage prevention menu at the outside, and a controller which determines whether to set an afterimage prevention function based on the menu selected through the external input device. The scaling unit periodically provides a module unit with afterimage prevention data provided through the setting unit. |
