The method involves determining actual temperature in interior of a motor car (2). Outside temperature in a destination is determined. Desired temperature inside the motor car is determined depending on outside temperature of the destination. An air conditioner (6) is controlled by a control unit (8) in dependence on actual temperature and target temperature. Arrival temperature in the interior of the motor car is determined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an air-conditioning device for a motor car (2) a motor car.
