<p>A stepless transmission (T) has, coaxially arranged on the axis of a drive shaft (18), an input shaft (19), a forward-reverse switching mechanism (11), a toroidal type stepless transmission mechanism (12), and a speed reduction mechanism (13), and is configured in such a manner that the drive force of an engine (E) is transmitted from the drive shaft (18) to a differential gear (14) through the input shaft (19), the forward-reverse switching mechanism (11), the toroidal type stepless transmission mechanism (12), and the speed reduction mechanism (13). The speed reduction mechanism (13) is installed closer to the engine (E) than the output disk (41) of the toroidal stepless transmission mechanism (12), and the input disk (40) of the toroidal type stepless transmission mechanism (12) is installed farther from the engine (E) than the output disk (41). Consequently, the output disk (41) and the speed reduction mechanism (13) are arranged adjacent to each other, eliminating a drive force transmission path for transmitting the drive force from the output disk (41) to the speed reduction mechanism (13) through the outside radially of the input disk (40). This reduces the number of parts and enables a reduction in the radial dimension of the stepless transmission (T).</p> |
