Disclosed are a cathode active material comprising porous alloy containing silicon(Si), aluminum(Al), and transition metal, wherein an average pore diameter of a particle surface of the porous alloy is larger than the average pore diameter of the inside of a particle; a lithium secondary battery using the same; and a preparation method of the cathode active material.
