PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device which allows improvement of the strength of the four corners of the key lock hole, while attempting weight saving, even when a key lock hole of a small shape is formed.SOLUTION: In a steering apparatus, a steering wheel 13 connected to the rear end of a steering shaft 11 is locked so as not to rotate by engaging a key set boss 25, which is arranged in a key cylinder guiding a lock pin 24, in a hole peripheral surface of a key lock hole 22. The key lock hole 22 is opened in a nearly rectangular shape being long at least in the column axial direction P1, compared with the pin guiding part 25, and formed as a hole in which four corners 22n to 22p are rounded. The hole four corner parts are hemmed inward. |
