PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for generating search results including searching by subdomains and providing sponsored results by subdomains.SOLUTION: A search system 100 analyzes search strings sent from a search client 110 to a search server 120, to determine if they are to be routed to subdomains 130, and presents results including sponsored hits investing in a subdomain by a per subdomain basis.
