The present invention relates to a digital broadcasting reception method and a digital broadcasting reception apparatus and, more particularly, to a digital broadcasting reception method capable of displaying a stereoscopic image and a digital broadcasting reception apparatus. For achieving the purpose of the present invention, the digital broadcasting reception method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: receiving and demultiplexing a digital broadcasting signal including a base-view video stream and an extended-view video stream; checking discardable information about the pixels of the base-view and extended-view by using a transport packet comprising the base-view and extended-view video streams; and decoding the base-view and extended-view video streams using the discardable information.
