The present invention relates to a scanning apparatus using a camera module of a mobile device and a method thereof. The apparatus includes: a main body (100) configured as an outer container for blocking outside light and including a top hole (110) formed on top of the outer container for a camera module of a mobile device for receiving light, a supporting member (120), which is inserted into/withdrawn from an inside of the outer container and mounted thereon with a subject for scanning, an LED light (130) for providing a uniform luminance inside the outer container, and a switch (140), which is provided outside the outer container for controlling on/off of the LED light (130); a connection securing unit (200) including a connection unit (210) fixed on one side of the top of the main body (100) and protruding upward in a predetermined length, and a securing unit (220), which protrudes in a predetermined length so that the end of the connection unit (210) is parallel to the top of the main body (100) and is configured so that the bottom center point matches with the center point of the top hole (110) of the main body (100), for accommodating a mobile device. According to the present invention described above, a scanned image having a high resolution and high definition with a constant high-quality may be obtained by not only preventing vibration, but also maintaining optimal lighting and focal distance when photographing using a camera module of a mobile device, since the mobile device is secured on a portable structure and uniform lighting is provided to the subject for scanning in a secured position. |
