<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of controlling multiple times of buzzer sounding with a small number of commands to reduce a processing load when sounding a buzzer and to sound the buzzer at a timing when the buzzer is desired to sound.SOLUTION: A printer 1 having a buzzer 40 receives printing data in which four types of data, a printing setting command A, a buzzer setting command B, a printing control command C, and a printing termination command D, are arranged from a host device 2. The buzzer setting command B sets a condition and a sounding method for sounding the buzzer 40. The buzzer setting command B specifies a page break command C2 from commands included in the printing control command as a trigger command for sounding the buzzer 40. A control unit 10 of the printer 1, when detecting the page break command C2 during execution of a printing job, sounds the buzzer 40 at a predetermined timing during page break processing.</p> |
