<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in loss due to generation of water in a space, in an optical module provided with a holder in which the space facing an end of an optical fiber is formed.SOLUTION: In a holder 20 of an optical module, there are formed a focusing lens part 23 for focusing light emitted from a light-emitting element 10 toward an end of an optical fiber 31 and a space 25 facing a portion which includes the end of the optical fiber 31 exposed in a tip end face of a ferrule 30. A distance Tdep from an interface 26 between a material making up the holder 20 and the space 25 to the end of the optical fiber 31 is set so as to satisfy a predetermined relational expression.</p> |
