PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel NGF production inhibitor applicable to cosmetics, an external preparation for skin and the like.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a NGF production inhibitor containing persimmon leaf extract. In a NGF production inhibitor of the invention, a persimmon leaf extract is preferred to be extracted from persimmon leaves with water, polyalcohol, or mixtures thereof, and in both cases of being extracted with water or being extracted with the mixture of water and polyalcohol, the persimmon leaf extract is preferred to be contained at a solids concentration of 0.0001-0.01%. And the NGF production inhibitor of the invention is preferred to inhibit a production of a nerve growth factor in a cutaneous epidermal keratinocyte and fibroblast. And the invention also provides cosmetics and external preparations for skin containing the NGF production inhibitor of the invention. |
