<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil ball processing system and method as preliminary treatment prior to water purification in sewage treatment facilities, for collecting a predetermined fat from oil balls while processing the oil balls.SOLUTION: An oil ball processing system 1 includes a sewage storage tank 2 for storing sewage, an oil ball transport passage 3 for collecting oil balls from stored sewage and transporting the oil balls, and an oil ball storage tank 4 for storing collected oil balls. The oil ball storage tank includes a heating device 5 for heat-melting the stored oil balls, a water content removing device 6 which separates and removes water content occurring by heat-melting oil balls, and a separation device 7 which separates predetermined fat from liquid oil content occurring in heat-melting the oil balls. Consequently, the predetermined fat can be collected from the oil balls mixed in sewage. The processing method employs the system.</p> |
