PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a user is made to enter a pass word again for printing print data including the pass word regardless of user authentication when logging in when printing in a conventional printing device, which makes operation of the user be extremely complicated.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: storage means for receiving and storing print data including a pass word; reception means for receiving a printing instruction for the print data stored from a user; authentication means capable of authenticating the user; and printing means that performs printing without making the authenticated user input the pass word when an owner of the print data instructed to be printed coincides with the authenticated user and performs printing depending on that a pass word received from the user coincides with a pass word included in the print data when the owner of the print data instructed to be printed differs from the authenticated user or when the printing instruction is received without authenticating the user by the authentication means.
