<p>A data collecting device for collecting flow rate data from a flow meter comprises: a communication means for communicating with the flow meter; a determination means for determining a communication protocol with the flow meter on the basis of communications with the flow meter; a storage means for storing parameters for the communication protocol with the flow meter; an update means for updating the parameters; a communication control means for controlling the communication protocol of the communication means so that the communication protocol with the flow meter is the communication protocol determined by the determination means; and a calculation means for receiving flow rate data input from the flow meter and calculating the flow rate using the parameters.</p> |
