The additional roof device has a support structure (11) which has a fastening element (22,24) for fastening to a vehicle body, where a planar formation (15) is provided for partial overdrawing of the support structure. The planar formation is fastened on the support structure or on the vehicle body. The planar formation is formed in a flexible and foldable manner. The support structure is fastened to a roof rail or to a door outside handle of the vehicle body in a detachable manner. An independent claim is included for a vehicle body with a side door.
