PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct pixel shift while properly grasping the effect of the correction.SOLUTION: A projector 1 includes: a liquid crystal drive unit 17 for modulating light emitted from a light source of a light source unit 13 by color; liquid crystal light bulbs 14R, 14G, 14B; a projection optical system 15 for combining the modulated light of colors and projecting it; a control unit 20 which outputs correction image data N for correcting pixel shift, including a pixel located at the outermost edge and a pixel inside the outermost edge defined as color-producing pixels (correction pixels), to the liquid crystal drive unit 17, to modulate the light; and an image processing unit 23. |
