PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally-expansible packing for a building material, which has superior fire resistance, water resistance and appearance.SOLUTION: The thermally-expansible packing for the building material has a building material contact part, a fixing part and a connection part in a cross-sectional shape thereof which is viewed when a vertical surface with respect to a longitudinal direction is set as a reference surface. The thermally-expansible packing for the building material is made of a thermally-expansible fire-resistant resin composition layer. A thermally-expansible fire-resistant resin composition that forms the thermally-expansible fire-resistant resin composition layer contains 100 pts. wt. of a resin component, 5-200 pts. wt. of thermally-expansible graphite, 20-200 pts. wt. of a boron-containing compound, 10-70 pts. wt. of an antimony-containing compound and 0.1-10 pts. wt. of a vulcanizing agent. The resin component is made of a substance selected from the group consisting of EPDM, polybutene and polybutadiene. The thermally-expansible packing for the building material is formed by extrusion molding using the thermally-expansible fire-resistant resin composition. |
