PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method of a thin plate-like workpiece with a milling tool, effectively suppressing chatter vibration in working.SOLUTION: Flattening of a think plate-like workpiece with a milling tool includes: (1) setting an initial condition; (2) carrying out test working in the initial condition; (3) measuring a displacement in the test working; (4) determining whether an amount of the displacement is sufficiently small or not; (5) selecting the initial condition in the test working as a mass production working condition when the amount is sufficiently small; (6) determining whether the direction of displacement is a right direction or not when the amount is not determined to be sufficiently small; (7) adjusting to increase an amount of tool axis-direction notch or a tool torsion angle when it can be determined that the direction is a right direction; adjusting to decrease the amount or angle when it cannot be determined; and (8) repeating the test working, measurement and determination performed in the (2)-(7), and selecting a working condition in the case of that an amount of displacement is sufficiently small as a mass production working condition. |
