<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylate with high melt flowability, and a molded article using the same.SOLUTION: A polyarylate is obtained from a divalent phenol component and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component. The divalent phenol component comprises a compound with a bisphenol A structure or a compound represented by the general formula (A) as a main ingredient. The polyarylate exhibits a Q value of 1×10cm/sec or greater, the Q value being obtained by an elevated flow tester as an amount of molten resin flowing out of a nozzle hole with 1 mm diameter×10 mm length at a temperature of 280°C and pressure of 15.69 MPa.
