[Purpose] To provide an operation detection device specifically capable of recognizing the gesture of an operating body more simply and appropriately than is conventionally possible. [Solution] An operation detection device in the present embodiment is characterized in having a detection unit capable of detecting positional coordinates of an operating body which has operated on an operation surface, and a control unit for calculating an operation signal of the operating body on the basis of the positional coordinates, and is further characterized in that the control unit sets a virtual circle passing through the positional coordinates, and calculates, as the operation signal, a change over time in at least one of the center coordinates of the virtual circle, the radius of the virtual circle, and an angle of rotation of the virtual circle. |
