PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine a mechanism to project an image on a screen and a mechanism to make an image visible as a virtual image to achieve a reduction in cost compared to a configuration to separately provide both mechanisms.SOLUTION: A display device 100 includes an irradiation light generation unit that generates irradiation light based on image data, a projection unit 142 on which the irradiation light is projected, and a reflection unit 130 that reflects the irradiation light projected on the projection unit and makes a virtual image based on the image data visible, and switching means (light guide unit 140) for switching between a first state where the irradiation light is guided to the projection unit and a second state where the irradiation light is not guided to the projection unit; and makes the virtual image based on the image data visible in the first state, and projects the irradiation light based on the image data to the outside in the second state. |
