PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine a mechanism to project an image on a screen and a mechanism to make an image visible as a virtual image to achieve a reduction in cost compared to a configuration to separately provide both mechanisms.SOLUTION: A display device 300 includes an irradiation light generation unit that generates irradiation light based on image data, a projection unit 342 that is arranged on a light path of the irradiation light and on which the irradiation light is projected, and a reflection unit 130 that reflects the irradiation light projected on the projection unit while the projection unit is arranged on the light path of the irradiation light, and makes a virtual image based on the image data visible; and projects the irradiation light based on the image data to the outside while the projection unit is removed from the light path of the irradiation light. |
