PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge transport layer, which can manufacture the electrophotographic photoreceptor achieving both high potential stability and high abrasion resistance in repeated use, and to provide a method for easily manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge transport layer in which a charge transport substance has concentration gradient.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge transport layer which serves as a surface layer, includes a step of forming the charge transport layer by drying a coated film of coating liquid for the charge transport layer. The coating liquid for the charge transport layer contains (α), (β), (γ) and (δ). When the solubility of the (α) to the (γ) of 100 g is defined as X(g), and the solubility of the (α) to the (δ) of 100 g is defined as Y(g), the solubility X and the solubility Y satisfy a relation of X>Y.
