The present invention relates to an alternator control method using a battery sensor, which can validate reliability of a battery in a general internal combustion engine vehicle and control the alternator within a range of not influencing the battery, and implements the steps of checking the reliability of a battery sensor value in the battery sensor which checks the reliability of the battery; generating an alternator controllable signal based on capacity of the battery in case the battery sensor value is reliable; receiving the battery sensor value on an engine controller which controls the alternator, and checking whether an ineffective error exists; stop controlling the alternator when in case the ineffective error exists; checking whether the battery sensor value exists within a normal range when in case where the ineffective error exists, and controlling the alternator in accordance to the alternator controllable signal when in case that the battery sensor value exists within the normal range. The present invention validates the reliability of the battery in a general internal combustion engine vehicle and controls within the range of not influencing the battery, thereby preventing damage to the battery due to the generation of electricity in a state where information on the battery is not clear. |
