The lamp has LEDs (LD1, LD2, LD3, LDX) provided with photovoltaic or photo resist light sensors for electronically controlling the lamp. Monolithic LED string chips are located in AC driving anti-parallel LED strings when inactive half phase is disabled in a current path. Motion activity is detected in a detection area for activating the lamp due to short-term changes in signal amplitude by suitable choice of evaluation intervals of photoelectric sensor signals. An LED lamp module detects ambient light or light pulses within an illumination field.
