PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor with suppressed acoustic noise.SOLUTION: A capacitor body 10 comprises: a capacitance formation portion 10k; first outer layer portion 10m; and a second outer layer portion 10n. First and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 are provided in the capacitance formation portion 10k. The first outer layer portion 10m is located closer to a first primary surface 10a side than to the capacitance formation portion 10k. The second outer layer portion 10n is located closer to a second primary surface 10b side than to the capacitance formation portion 10k. The second outer layer portion 10n is thicker than the first outer layer portion 10m. At least one of a recess 10b1 and a salient 10b2 is provided on the second primary surface 10b.
