<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten display delay of a subject image in a digital camera.SOLUTION: A digital camera includes a timing generation circuit 21 for applying timing control signals on an area image sensor 15, an image processing circuit 22 and a flat panel display device 40. The timing control signals applied to the area image sensor and the flat panel display include a vertical synchronous signal and a horizontal synchronous signal. In a still image photographing mode, the timing control signal for matching repetition periods of a processing unit for processing data for one frame in the area image sensor, the flat panel display and the image processing circuit respectively at a period shorter than 1/60 sec and making a phase difference for repeating the processing unit to be constant is one-dimensionally generated for each frame.</p> |
