PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filter with high separability where the collectability and collection precision of submicron particles in a liquid are high.SOLUTION: A liquid filter: is a filter for filtering solid matter in a liquid; has an average fiber diameter of 0.2-1.0μm; has a basis weight of 70-250 g/m; has a porosity of 45-75%; has an average flow rate pore diameter of 0.3-2.0μm; has a main filtering material containing a nonwoven fabric whose variation in an opening diameter is not more than 200% and being formed into a pleat shape; and has a passing ratio denoted as equation: (passing ratio)=(100-collectability (%) of particle having a size of 0.29μm)/(100-collectability (%) of particle having a size of 0.48μm) of 20 or more.
