The present invention relates to a method for preparing an aqueous ceramic fire-proof paint composition which has excellent adhering force to a surface of a base material and excellent durability and has heat resistance to efficiently prevent the spread of fire in the event of fire and to not generate a poisonous gas. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: (a) adding 1,2-cyclohexanediol to a potassium silicate solution and stirring the resultant solution for 10 to 30 minutes at a temperature of 40 to 60°C to prepare 60 to 70 weight% of an inorganic solution; (b) adding 0.5 to 2 weight% of a boric acid to the inorganic solution to perform a reaction for 1 to 3 hours at a temperature of 180 to 220°C; (c) adding 5 to 10 weight% of water to the solution of step (b) to hydrate the solution; and (d) adding 5 to 15 weight% of potassium titanate, 3 to 12 weight% of a zirconium powder to the hydrated solution, 10 to 15 weight% of a pigment comprised of metal oxide, and 0.5 to 5 weight% of a dispersion agent to stir the mixed solution. |
