PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce easily an air bag in which an expansion portion is divided into a plurality of expansion chambers by a first partition part and a second partition part.SOLUTION: To form a first partition part (lateral partition part 64) consisting of a pair of constituent cloth parts 66 and 69 and a second partition part (vertical partition part 81) which extends in the direction intersecting the first partition part and is superimposed on both constituent cloth parts 66 and 69 at one extension end between both body cloth parts 43 and 44 of the air bag body 41, an air bag production method comprises: a first bonding step of bonding, to the body cloth parts 43 and 44 in an expanded state, the peripheral edge part of one of the constituent cloth parts 66 and 69 on the side approachable to the body cloth parts 43 and 44 in building the first and second partition parts; a second bonding step of bonding, to the body cloth parts 43 and 44, parts of a pair of outer peripheral edge parts 83 in an expanded state in the second partition part which is not superimposed on both constituent cloth parts 66 and 69 and bonding superimposed parts only to the constituent cloth parts 66 and 69; and a third bonding step of bonding mutually peripheral edges of both constituent cloth parts 66 and 69 on the side separated from the body cloth parts 43 and 44 in building the first and second partition parts. |
