PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film material capable of effectively preventing defects conventionally caused when taking-up the film material.SOLUTION: A film material 2 comprises: a base material 10; and a coating film 20 formed on the base material 10. The film material 2 includes a pair of non-product areas 4 each including a corresponding end portion in width direction, and a product area 3 located between the pair of non-product areas 4. The coating film 20 includes a thick part 21 thicker than a portion 20a located within the product area 3 and extending in a longer direction, at a location within each product area 4.
