The present invention relates to high quality graphene using arc discharge and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the method comprises the steps of: filling a carbon rod with a graphite powder and a metallic catalyst or a dopant including a graphite powder, a metallic catalyst and nitrogen; filling a buffer gas in a reaction chamber; and producing graphene by applying high voltage between the positive and negative poles of the reaction chamber, causing discharge, and evaporating the carbon rod disposed in the positive pole. One or more treatments selected from the group consisting of heat refinement, annealing, and ultrasonic treatment are performed on the produced graphene. Accordingly, graphene having remarkably improved electrical conductivity is produced from a graphite powder and a metallic catalyst or a dopant including a graphite powder, a metallic catalyst and nitrogen. |
