PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone-modified wax having high compatibility to an oil solution such as volatile and non-volatile silicone oil, hydrocarbon oil, ester oil, and natural animal or vegetable oil solutions, and thickening various oil solutions to give a pasty or solid composition with smoothness and good spread; a production method thereof; a composition comprising the silicone-modified wax; and a cosmetic.SOLUTION: A silicone-modified wax having an urethane bond is obtained by urethanization reaction of an alkyl isocyanate with OH of carbinol-modified silicone obtained by hydrosilylation reaction of an alcohol having an unsaturated group at a terminal with organohydrogenpolysiloxane, where the silicone-modified wax is solid or greasy having thixotropy at 25°C.
