<p>The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cell structure for cell transplantation which contains no cytotoxic substance such as glutaraldehyde and in which cellular necrosis of transplanted cells is inhibited (i.e., ensuring a high cell survival rate). Provided is a cell structure for cell transplantation, which contains glutaraldehyde-free biocompatible polymer blocks and at least one kind of cells and in which a plurality of said biocompatible polymer blocks are disposed in gaps among a plurality of said cells, wherein the tap density of the biocompatible polymer blocks is 10-500 mg/cm3 inclusive, or the value [(square root of cross section)/(perimeter)] of the biocompatible polymer blocks in a two-dimensional cross-section image is 0.01-0.13 inclusive.</p> |
