Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, a system, and a proxy device for data transmission. The transmission method comprises: a client establishing a TCP connection with an Internet server; a proxy device interacting with the client in a wireless manner; the proxy device interacting with the Internet server in a wired manner; and the proxy device acquiring a start sequence number and a response sequence number in corresponding directions, and based on this, completing data forwarding between the client and the Internet server without requiring to establish an independent TCP connection with the client and the Internet server respectively, so that the quality of service of a wireless network is not affected.
