The device comprises: an optical fibre sensor (10) used for sensing the existence of a real object within a sensing range, a support frame (20) used for bearing the optical fibre sensor (10), a guide rail (60) used for defining the direction of movement of the support frame (20), a motor (40) and a motion transmission mechanism (30) which are used for driving the optical fibre sensor (10) to move along the guide rail (60), and a controller (50) connected to the optical fibre sensor (10) and the motor (40), wherein the controller (50) is at least used to obtain the serial number of the layer on which the real object is located, according to the movement distance of the support frame (20) in the case where the optical fibre sensor (10) has sensed the existence of the real object. The device (01) can accurately learn the serial number of the layer on which the real object is located in the case of a small interlayer space in the container (02), so that a mechanical arm can directly extract the real object located on the layer. The real object is a display panel.
