The present invention relates to a booster pump apparatus having an anti-idling means in which proportional-integral-derivative (PID) calculation is performed in a controller to control pressure, a speed command is received from the controller to control rotation of a motor at a pump side by an inverter, pumps receive output signals from the inverter to press a fluid supplied through a supply pipe in a predetermined water pressure and supply fluid to a discharge pipe, and the pumps are prevented from being in an idle state. The anti-idling means includes: a chamber installed on each of the upper portions of the cases of the pumps to be in communication with an inner space; a water level detection sensor having two electrode bars extended in a downward direction inside the chamber to output a signal in accordance to the water level inside the chamber to the controller; and an air discharge valve installed at the chamber, and controlled to be opened/closed by the controller in accordance to the signal from the water level detection sensor. According to the present invention, when the two electrode bars in the water level detection sensor are dissolved in the pumps and the discharge pipe, a microcurrent applied from the controller is continued to detect whether a water level is appropriate and open/close the air discharge valve to automatically discharge air inside the pumps and the discharge pipe, thereby preventing damages due to the air in a booster pump apparatus having a plurality of pumps, lowering the costs for maintenance and repair labor force, and managing to prevent an idle state of the booster pump apparatus more efficiently. |
