<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device with improved detection accuracy in focus detection in an imaging element having a photoelectric conversion unit to which pupil division function is provided.SOLUTION: A line addition number is increased according to an exposure target value corresponding to a dynamic range of a pixel that changes according to an exposure setting value. Accordingly, reduction of noise is achieved, and variation in a focus detection result is prevented. In addition, the line addition number is changed according to a diaphragm of a lens, a defocus amount, and a read-out mode of a pixel signal. Accordingly, resolution in a longitudinal direction is ensured, and reduction in detection accuracy is prevented especially in a case in which a subject falls obliquely on a focus detection region.</p> |
