[Problem] To provide a method for producing an activated carbon sheet which exhibits high impregnation with respect to an electrolyte solution, while having high mechanical strength. [Solution] A method for producing an activated carbon sheet, which comprises: a sheet preparation step wherein a sheet which contains activated carbon, a carbon conductive material and a fibrous fluororesin binder is prepared, said fluororesin being a polytetrafluoroethylene and/or a modified polytetrafluoroethylene; and a light irradiation step wherein at least one surface of the sheet is irradiated with light so that the cumulative amount of irradiation on the sheet surface is within the range of 50-1,000 mJ/cm2. |
